Not being sure about whether or not to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is a completely normal reaction, and a lot of people have a lot of different reasons about why they’re not sure.
But the important thing to know is that there are lots of very good reasons to get vaccinated. As Dr Tyeese Gaines states in the video above, an important reason is that it will help protect you, your family, and your community against COVID-19.
There are some people who can’t get vaccinated, for example those who are too young, like children and babies, or those with compromised immune systems — but if those of us who are eligible to get vaccinated do so, it will help protect those who can’t get vaccinated too.
They are also very safe, and have been widely tested in clinical trials that included a very broad range of people, of all ages, ethnicities, countries, genders, and more. According to the World Health Organization, over 1,400,000,000 doses have been administered already as of 21st May.
