I’ve already had COVID-19, what’s the point in getting the vaccine?Updated: May 10th, 2021
You should be vaccinated regardless of whether you already had COVID-19. We don’t know yet how long you are protected after recovering from COVID-19, and it’s possible — although rare — that you could be infected again. And crucially, getting vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you, especially those who are more at risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19. So even if you’re not as worried about getting sick yourself, it’s worth considering getting vaccinated to better protect your loved ones.
