What’s it like getting a COVID vaccine? What should I expect?Updated: April 28th, 2021
Dr. Walter Oronsaye, who’s vaccinated more than 1,000 people, gives a great run-down of what to expect when getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
It’s almost the same as getting a flu vaccine, in that COVID-19 vaccines are also administered in the upper arm. Keeping your arm relaxed while you’re getting the vaccine will help reduce the chance of pain or soreness in the arm.
Then it’s done. Then it’s recommended to wait 15-30 minutes after being vaccinated, and be monitored by medical professionals. But after that, you’re good to go.
